My Story​

​

For more than a decade, I have served as an alumni interviewer for Princeton, and in recent years for the United World College (UWC) USA Davis Scholarship, reviewing applications in highly selective admissions processes.

 

My 12 years as an independent school trustee and 18 years as a homeschool educator have given me a comprehensive view of students - as an educator, parent, evaluator, and advocate.

As an experienced essay coach, I have guided hundreds of students through workshops and one-on-one advising, helping them reflect deeply and articulate a clear, authentic narrative, so their applications are as distinctive as they are.

I bring these insights to families navigating the stress and uncertainty of college admissions. The goal is to move from noise to choice: making informed decisions with intentionality.

My perspective is both global and personal. My own education spans the Asian, British, and American systems, culminating in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, an A.B. in molecular biology with a certificate in east Asian studies from Princeton, and an M.B.A. in global management from Stanford. While homeschooling my three children, I integrated innovative and experiential learning. These experiences have deepened my appreciation of diverse educational pathways and the unique strengths of each learner. 

 

High school is a formative season of personal growth; a time to explore, challenge yourself, and clarify who you are becoming. When you understand yourself deeply, you make better choices. Not just for college, but for life.

 

And that’s the work that energizes me every day.
